25 March 2019, 08:29

The March/April issue of the South African Journal of Science (SAJS) is themed around women in Science. The issue – sponsored by the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences – stem from an agreement with the organisers of the 2nd International Women in Science Without Borders (WiSWB) indaba held in Johannesburg in March 2018 to publish the best papers presented at the conference, after following the journal’s normal processes, including double-blind peer review. The issue can be read here. The cover of the issue showcases all the women in science who contributed to articles in this issue.

In April 2019, the SAJS also welcomes the first female Editor-in-Chief, Prof Jane Carruthers, to its helm.
